Imagine a new era

In light of this growth and given the local significance of the Gifford Hill and Newbridge projects, Burke Urban has been recognised as playing an increasingly important role in planning the revitalisation and regeneration of the region.

This led to a strong partnership being forged in 2010 with the Rural City of Murray Bridge Council and Regional Development Australia – Murraylands (RDA).

With their encouragement and support, the plans for the Gifford Hill and Newbridge projects have been projected to encompass a broader, regional vision that will help:

  • Create a viable and desirable Rural City with strong employment and population growth;
  • Plan for infrastructure now, knowing it will be a by-product of growth;
  • Plan for the growth of Monarto as a major employment centre to drive population growth and demand for housing;
  • Raise awareness with Government at a departmental and political level;
  • Revitalise the Murray Bridge brand and develop a strong regional marketing plan;
  • Establish innovative water management principles to make the region clean and green;
  • Encourage an integrated approach to living with a strong culture of commercial and recreational activity (live, work and play);
  • Set new benchmarks in development that foster best practice and innovation.
